Cocoonababy - For Newborns

The Cocoonababy is genius! It is designed for newborns and can be used in the cot instead of having a bassinet. This makes transitioning to a cot sooooooo much easier!

The baby has a semi-foetal posture in the Cocoonababy which helps reduce the involuntary jerky movements that awake them with a start and make them cry (startle reflex).

It also helps to limit gastric reflux as the slope of the nest has been calculated for the baby's optimal well-being as well as limiting the risk of flat head.

The tummy band is designed to soothe the baby by applying light pressure in their tummy as well as maintaining them in the ideal position without restricting their movements.

It also has an adjustable movable wedge (under the fitted sheet) that allows the baby to lie on their back in the semi-foetal postion and to be wedged in the nest at the correct height.

It is designed for use from 2.8kgs until the child starts trying to roll over or change position (around 4 months old).

At 69cm x 40cm x 19cm and only 1kg the Cocoonababy is as portable as they come.

I think it's great as you can take it to a friend's house and the baby still feels like they are sleeping in their usual place. Just make sure you don't put it on top of a table!! Place it on the floor somewhere safe if it is outside of the cot.
